“Gloria Cup 2019” Fun Continues With Basketball and Athletics

The most wide-ranging sports hotel of Europe, Gloria Sports Arena (GSA) is hosting Gloria Cup for the third time this year. Having started with the Gloria Cup 2019 Volleyball Women’s National Teams Tournament on August 15, the organization continues with Gloria Cup 2019 Basketball Men’s Club Teams and Athletics Tournaments in September.

Offering a unique experience for professional sportspeople and teams with its facilities to do more than 50 kinds of sports and a hotel of 100 rooms, GSA is hosting valuable teams and athletes one more time with Gloria Cup 2019. Hosted by GSA and organized by Smart Casual Event, Gloria Cup Turkey started with Volleyball Women’s National Teams Tournament on August 15, with 4 teams competing for championship including Turkey, Serbia, Croatia and Italy. Serbia became the winner of tournament followed by our national team as the second in Gloria Cup.

Between September 11 and 15, Anadolu Efes (Turkey), CSKA Moscow (Russia), Galatasaray Doğa Sigorta (Turkey), Teksüt Bandırma Basket (Turkey), Tofaş (Turkey), and Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania) will fight for championship in the Gloria Cup 2019 Basketball Men’s Club Teams Tournament. 


Following the basketball tournament, Gloria Cup 2019 Athletics will take plane on September 16. A total of 10 contests in which men will compete 200m, 400m, 400m hurdle race, triple jump, javelin throw branches and women will compete in 100m, 100m hurdle race, 400m hurdle race, high jump, javelin throw branches in the Global Cup Athletics will be held for the second time this year.

Ramil Guliyev, 200 meter world champion, Yasmani Copello who ranked third in 400 meter Olympic Games and second in the world, Necati Er, Europe U23 champion and Turkish record holder in triple jump, Eda Tuğsuz who ranked fifth in the world in javelin throw, and sprinter Mizgin Ay, 2017 World U18 champion, are among the national athletes that are expected to be racing.
