UCI Gran Fondo World Series Antalya
Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Gran Fondo Cycling Races were held in Belek on May 12-13. Organized by a collaboration between UCI, Serik Municipality and Calypso Tour in Belek, Gran Fondo Cycling Races hosted more than 1000 racers from 46 countries during the Turkish leg. The District Governor Haluk Şimşek and the Mayor Ramazan Çalık gave the start signal of races in front of The Land Of Legends in Belek Tourism Center. The races included 63-km short road races and 95-km long road races. Paralympic athletes also competed in Gran Fondo for the first time ever in the categories of handcycle, tricycle, tandem, standard arm amputation and standard leg amputation.
